ETHICAL TRADING PROTOCOL and Community Support

1. MODERN SLAVERY ACT

We support all U.N. and democratic government initiations to eradicate the horror of slavery, forced labour and human trafficking.

We only source from nations that have excellent records in this commitment.

The vast bulk of our manufacture is in Taiwan and Portugal; and our executives have visited the factories and been able to speak with staff, view factory arrangements and inspect production lines to ensure all labour is employed ethically.

 

2. REGULATORY APPROVALS

  • * Artisan Food Equipment has a REFRIGERANT TRADING AUTHORISATION CERTIFICATE issued by the A.R.C. under the auspices of The Australian Government.
  • * Artisan Food Equipment hold an EQUIPMENT LICENCE issued by the AUTRALIAN GOVERNMENT (Department of the Environment) allowing us to import and trade in equipment containing refrigerant.
  • * All relevant equipment is registered under the GEMS DETERMINATION 2019.
  • * The equipment has been tested in authorised laboratories to the specified EN and ISO standards.
  • * The laboratories used are registered to MA; ilac.MRA; CNAS and DAKKS; amongst other authorities.
  • * We have an external qualified consultant, in Australia, regularly checking our compliance.
  • * All equipment has ELECTRICAL SAFETY certification to the required codes including IEC60335-1 and AS/NZS CISPR14-1

 

3. QUALITY CONTROL

  • * Our supplier factories all have exhaustive quality testing procedures in accordance with E.C. and other regulatory structures and requirements.
  • * Each unit is tested in our Australian workshops before delivery to customers.

 

4. ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

Artisan is very conscious of the need to take steps, at all levels of society, business, manufacture, resource recovery and agriculture to ensure the stability of the environment we pass-on to the coming generations.

  • * Energy efficiency is evidenced by our GEMS compliance.
  • * We work with our suppliers to advance usage of environmentally sensitive gases and materials.
  • *Recyclable packaging is also a serious consideration for us.
  • * When cabinets have reached the end of their working life they are disposed of in an environmentally sensitive method.

Gases are removed according to best practice and the metals and materials separated and forwarded to the relevant recycling centre.

 

5. CHARITY SUPPORT

With our head office in Sydney, we support various charities and have a special interest in those caring for underprivileged children.

We also support the RAPID RELIEF TEAM that caters and cares for front line workers and those affected by tragedies and natural disasters throughout Australia.

 

6. DATA STORAGE & PRIVACY STATEMENT

We respect and comply with the relevant regulatory privacy requirements for data, credit, and staff details.

No data is kept unless required to do so by the Tax Department or other government statutory directories.

Credit-card usage is only used on a single-use basis and any repeat payments require customer initiation/authorisation each time.
